Home Renovation Savings Program — AMG is a participating heat pump contractor
The Home Renovation Savings Program is an Ontario government-backed rebate program jointly administered by Enbridge Gas and the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO — Save on Energy). It offers qualifying homeowners rebates of up to $7,500 for the installation of a high-efficiency cold climate heat pump.
Air Management Group Inc. is a listed participating contractor in the Home Renovation Savings Program. We handle all pre-installation and post-installation application paperwork on behalf of our customers.
What rebates are available?
- Gas-heated homes: $500 per ton of heating capacity, up to $2,000
- Electrically heated homes (or oil, propane, wood): $1,250 per ton, up to $7,500
- Canada Greener Homes Loan: 0% interest loan up to $40,000 — can be combined with the HRSP rebate
Who qualifies?
- Ontario homeowners who own and occupy the home
- Enbridge Gas customers who primarily heat with natural gas, OR homeowners connected to Ontario’s electricity grid and heating with electricity, oil, propane, or wood
- Single detached, semi-detached, row homes, townhomes, and mobile homes on permanent foundations
- The heat pump installed must be on Natural Resources Canada’s qualified cold climate heat pump list
Important: contractor registration is currently paused
The Home Renovation Savings Program has paused new contractor registrations — no new HVAC contractors are being accepted at this time. Working with an existing listed contractor like AMG is the only way for most Ontario homeowners to access the heat pump rebate through this program.
How the process works with AMG
- Call AMG at 416-264-7687 for a free in-home assessment and eligibility check
- AMG submits your pre-installation application to the program
- Once approved, AMG installs your qualifying heat pump
- AMG submits the post-installation application on your behalf
- Your rebate cheque arrives by mail within approximately 60 days of post-installation approval
