Air Conditioning
A perfectly sized air conditioner will cool your house to the desired temperature while effectively controlling the humidity levels in your home. All air conditioners are measured by their Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). The higher the SEER, the more energy efficient the AC unit. To achieve enhanced comfort, air conditioners compressors are now available in traditional single output capacity or the superior inverter variable capacity type which are especially suited for larger homes. When considering higher efficiency premium models, a cost- benefit analysis should be considered-factoring the total seasonal cooling running hours for your area.
Furnaces
Today, the federal government demands any new furnace to have a minimum efficiency rating of 95% AFUE. The most efficient furnace models have direct current (DC) powered motors which can facilitate more than one heating output and diminish temperature fluctuations in your home. In our diverse climate, purchasing a gas furnace that uses the minimum amount of gas and electricity and provides the maximum amount of comfort is a no-brainer.
Split System Heat Pumps
Heat pumps can provide tempered, year-round climate control for your home – supplemental heating in winter and cooling and dehumidifying in summer. You will never have to worry about a shortage of heat, as heat pumps are capable of harnessing the heat from the outside even on the coldest winter days.
Hydronic Heating
Hydronic heating is a high-personalized heating option, with maximum control over area-specific temperatures throughout your home and minimum environmental impact. Whether you are heating a floor, radiator or air handler, radiant heat is a superior comfort option.
Tankless Water Heaters
Ductless (Air Conditioners or Heat Pumps)
Ductless air conditioners and heat pumps offer installation versatility. Ductless heat pumps are capable of heating at over 75% capacity in ambient temperatures as low as -25C. Synonymous with efficiency (due mainly to their ductless design), ductless eliminates the issue of efficiency losses as much as 25% associated with duct utilization. Furthermore, ductless air conditioners and heat pumps are great options when you need zone heating and/or cooling. Whether you are looking to condition a sunroom, an office, a restaurant or simply need to supplement that hard to condition space in your home, ductless equipment is quiet, convenient, and an excellent option for those homes without ductwork.
